All that is needed for connection to our network is a Windows PC with Internet access, a webcam and a microphone. We recommend a Logitech HD Pro Webcam C920 for the video and a Jabra 7410 USB Speakerphone for the audio. We can test any webcam and/or microphone you may have to see if they would be appropriate for our solution.
In most cases, technology fees associated with providing access for the physician are included in the cost of the consult. Any additional costs to the facility will vary based on the unique needs of the hospital or clinic, depending on their existing telemedicine systems. The fees required to use the
platform are typically no diﬀerent from the fees associated with secure internet access.
Yes. All communication is sent using a 128-bit AES encryption. The system requires your facility and our physicians to authenticate their identity before granting access.
Yes. We consider the security of protected health information to be of utmost importance and work directly with the facility representatives to ensure all connections are secure. While each situation is unique, we are committed to providing telemedicine services in accord with HIPAA and HITECH standards.
No. However, if adjustments are needed, Virtual Medical Staﬀ will assist you with making the necessary changes in order to ensure a secure online environment.
Yes. Virtual Medical Staﬀ employs trained IT professionals to be available 24 hours a day, seven days a week to help with technical diﬀiculties relating to the equipment and connectivity that we provide.
