Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist – Community Mental Health

We are seeking a Child & Adolescent Psychiatrist to join a community mental health program serving children and adolescents through a mix of outpatient clinic and school-based services.

Schedule

Monday–Thursday, with a possible Friday for the right provider

Outpatient clinic days: Monday & Thursday

7.5-hour days (8:30 AM – 5:00 PM)

1-hour lunch

School-based days: Tuesday & Wednesday

Tuesday: Middle & High School

Wednesday: Elementary School

1 hour of administrative time per day

Setting & Program Structure

Community mental health

Hybrid model: outpatient clinic + school-based care

Schools are located close to the administrative building

Students are taken out of class to a private office to meet with the psychiatrist

Patient Population

Primarily ages 5–18

Standard child and adolescent psychiatric care

Ages 0–4 receive evidence-based therapy with a psychologist

Psychiatrist participates in family discussions but does not prescribe for this age group

Clinical Volume & Visit Types

Average 12 patients per day

Follow-ups: 30 minutes

New evaluations: 60 minutes
