About the facility

This inpatient facility is seeking locum tenens psychiatrist coverage to meet the clinical needs of its adult patient population. The facility maintains a structured clinical environment and is supported by a shared Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to facilitate coordinated inpatient psychiatric care delivery. Coverage is sought beginning December 14 for a period of three months, with the option to extend.

Clinicians on assignment may explore historic sites, enjoy outdoor activities such as dolphin cruises, snorkeling, and wildlife-spotting tours, or take advantage of the state's diverse recreational offerings. The state is also notable for its geography, which allows a drive from the Gulf of Mexico to the Atlantic Ocean to be completed in a short time.

About the clinician's workday

Clinicians in this role will provide full-time inpatient psychiatric services for an adult population, working Monday through Friday during day shifts, totaling 40 hours per week on-site. Clinical responsibilities include conducting psychiatric evaluations and providing medication management within the inpatient setting; clinicians must also be prepared to manage adolescent admissions while on call. Call coverage is required, with one call per weekday and participation in a weekend on-call rotation of approximately one weekend every other month. An active state medical license and prescriptive authority are required for all clinicians considered for this position.
