✨ Inpatient Psychiatrist Opportunity- Sacramento, CA Area

🩺 Adult Psychiatry | ⏱ Full-Time (Locums or Locum-to-Perm)

🌿 Position Overview

Join an inpatient psychiatric facility providing care for adults with severe and persistent mental illness. This is a hands-on clinical role with strong interdisciplinary support and a structured daily workflow.

🕒 Schedule & Commitment
Full-Time: Monday–Friday
Hours: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Start Timeline: Ideally within 30–45 days
Onboarding: ~30 days
Minimum Commitment: 6 months
🧠 Patient Population
Adults with:
Major Depression
Schizophrenia
Schizoaffective Disorder
Psychotic Disorders
Average Length of Stay: ~10 days
Caseload: Max 16 patients
⚕️ Clinical Responsibilities
Medication management
Psychiatric evaluations
Admissions & discharges (volume to be confirmed)
Participation in daily treatment team meeting (9:30 AM)

👤 Autonomy:

Locums will be the only psychiatrist onsite
👥 Support Structure
Nursing staff: RNs & LVNs
Social workers & clinicians on-site
Reports to:
Facility Administrator (operationally)
Regional Medical Director (clinically)

✅ Qualifications
Board Certified or Board Eligible (strong BE considered)
Inpatient psychiatry experience preferred
