Facility:
This well-established hospital is a Level 2 trauma center serving the Duluth community and surrounding region, offering comprehensive inpatient nephrology services. The facility features a dedicated inpatient dialysis unit staffed by experienced Fresenius RNs, along with a full nephrology clinic supported by RNs and Medical Assistants.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Nephrology

Job Details:

• Provide inpatient nephrology coverage with regular hours from 8am-5pm Monday through Friday, followed by 15 on-call hours on weekdays and 24 on-call hours on Saturday and Sunday
• Full-time clinic coverage plus a minimum of 1 week per month call coverage
• Minimum of 7 consecutive shifts required
• Manage an inpatient rounding list that fluctuates between 14-18 patients per shift
• Manage dialysis patients including Hemodialysis, CRRT, and Peritoneal Dialysis
• Provide management of post-renal transplant patients
• Perform peritoneal dialysis and catheter placement
• Support staff available including Fresenius RNs in the inpatient dialysis unit and RNs and Medical Assistants in the nephrology clinic
• Active Minnesota license or IMLC required
• Board certification required with BLS certification
• Estimated credentialing timeframe of 90 days
