Job SummarySeeking an experienced and collaborative Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) to join its multidisciplinary Kidney Transplant Program. This role focuses on co-managing kidney transplant recipients and living donor kidney patients within a respected academic teaching facility.
You will work closely with transplant surgeons, hepatologists, nephrologists, advanced practitioners, and house staff to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key ResponsibilitiesUnder the direction of an attending physician, responsibilities include:

Providing comprehensive preoperative, postoperative, and ongoing medical care in the outpatient setting

Developing and implementing diagnostic and treatment plans

Ordering and interpreting laboratory tests and imaging studies

Providing consultation services for nephrology and transplant patients

Prescribing and managing medications within scope of practice

Educating patients and families on transplant care and treatment plans

Providing inpatient consult coverage as needed

Flexible, motivated, and team-oriented

Comfortable in a fast-paced, high-acuity academic environment

Strong communication skills with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams

Committed to high-quality transplant and nephrology care

Advanced Practice Registered Nurse (APRN) or Physician Assistant (PA)

Active Massachusetts license and appropriate national certification

Eligible for or active Massachusetts DPH Controlled Substance registration and DEA registration

Minimum of 1 year of Advanced Practice experience required (3 years preferred)
