Gastroenterology w/ ERCP Opportunity – WA
Reason for opening: Gap in coverage
Setting & Schedule:
Type of privileges: Hospital and clinic
Setting: Inpatient & outpatient
Schedule: Call-only (24-hour call)
Rounding: Yes – likely daily, depending on census
When not rounding or performing procedures, provider may be offsite until called back in
Hospital / Practice Details:
Inpatient beds: 350
EMR: EPIC
Patient demographics: Adults
Average patients per day: 8–12
Procedures & Requirements:
Required procedures: Colonoscopy, EGD
ERCP required
Required clinical activity (last 24 months):
Case logs documenting at least 100 patients representative of requested privileges
Case list must include diagnosis/procedure, date, and facility
ERCP volume requirements:
At least 100 ERCPs performed total
Documentation (case list) of at least 40 ERCPs in the last 24 months
Team & Support:
Will provider work solo? No
Other GI providers on staff
Onsite APC support during weekdays (daytime)
Currently no nights/weekend APC coverage, but the facility is working toward adding weekend support
Licensing & Certifications:
WA license or IMLC required
Required certifications: BLSC and ERCP (must be from AHA or American Red Cross, as applicable)
