About the clinician's workday

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive outpatient gastroenterology coverage with 24-hour call responsibilities managing specialized procedures and consultations. Daily responsibilities include performing esophageal dilatation and manometry, endoscopic ultrasound, colonoscopy, liver biopsy, and upper GI endoscopy with therapeutic interventions including ERCP procedures. The clinician will handle approximately 8 procedures per weekend across gastroenterology, hepatology, and surgical consultation services. Board certification in gastroenterology and prescriptive authority are mandatory requirements for optimal patient care delivery.
