Gastroenterology Locum Opportunity – Kentucky
Willing to License
Assignment Details:
• Duration: 12 months
• Client is open to two providers alternating weeks, but strongly prefers one consistent provider
• Virtual interviews with service line leadership and OR team
Schedule:
• Clinic: Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Call: Shared with another provider
• Call details (on-site vs off-site, frequency, common reasons) to be reviewed during interview
Support Staff:
• APP support provided
Procedural Scope:
• General GI procedures required
• Average procedure volume: TBD (to be confirmed)
Required Procedures:
• Upper endoscopies (EGD)
• Colonoscopies
Advanced Procedures:
• ERCP required (mid-level / moderate complexity)
• EUS not required
Specialty Procedures Include:
• Diagnostic and therapeutic EGD
• Colonoscopy with or without polypectomy
• Esophageal, duodenal, or luminal stent placement
• Argon plasma coagulation
• Biopsies (esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon)
• Esophageal dilation (balloon, bougie, or Savary)
• Foreign body removal via EGD
• Flexible sigmoidoscopy
• GI motility studies & 24-hour pH monitoring
• Non-variceal hemostasis (upper & lower)
• PEG placement
• Enteral alimentation
Credentialing & Enrollment:
• Estimated timeframe: ~3 months
• Includes Medicare & Medicaid enrollment
