This is a 120-bed medical facility that serves as a key healthcare provider in the North Coast region. The hospital features comprehensive gastroenterology services with state-of-the-art endoscopic equipment and operates as a Level 3 Trauma Center, providing essential medical care to the surrounding communities.

Opportunity:
Physician - Internal Medicine - Gastroenterology

Job Details:
• Permanent position with approximately 16 patient encounters per shift
• Fellowship in Gastroenterology is required
• Must be board certified or board eligible within 3 years of residency
• California license required, but will consider candidates willing to obtain CA licensure
• Perform upper GI endoscopy with biopsy, foreign body removal, and fulguration of bleeder
• Conduct PEG (percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy) procedures
• Perform and interpret esophageal manometry
• Complete small bowel biopsies
• Conduct lower GI endoscopy including flexible sigmoidoscopy
• Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
• ERCP (endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography) skills preferred
• Endoscopic ultrasound (EUS) experience preferred
• Liver biopsy skills preferred
• Experience with insertion/management of Sengstaken/Blakemore tube preferred
• ACLS and BLS certifications required
• 90-day estimated credentialing timeframe
• Start date ASAP with ongoing opportunity

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
