About the clinician's workday

The gastroenterologist will provide comprehensive 24-hour inpatient call coverage managing endoscopy procedures Monday through Friday from 7AM to 1/2PM, completing 10-14 colonoscopies daily with efficient support staff. The clinician will handle after-hours and weekend call responsibilities covering the emergency department, managing emergent procedures, new consultations, and completing rounding as needed. The position requires managing 13-17 patients daily including endoscopy cases, rounding, new admissions, and consultations with an average of 3-4 hours of rounding per day. The clinician must be comfortable performing EGD, colonoscopy, and motility procedures while coordinating care with two gastroenterologists on site during call coverage periods.
