Gastroenterology NP Needed in Jacksonville, NC

Location: Jacksonville, North Carolina
Candidate Requirements: Full-time, local candidates only

Start Date: June 1, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks with ongoing potential

Schedule:
Monday through Friday
Day shifts only
No nights or weekends

Practice Setting:
Ambulatory Surgery Center and office-based practice
Fast-paced outpatient gastroenterology clinic focused on digestive health and non-surgical weight loss services

Position Details:
Patient Volume: 17 to 24 patients per day
Patient Population: Primarily adults, ages 16 to 80
Coverage: Full-time equivalent
EMR: gGastro (GMED)

Team Structure:
Collaborative physician environment
Two to three RNs and LPNs per location
One to two Medical Assistants supporting procedure rooms

Clinical Responsibilities:
Evaluate and manage acute and chronic gastrointestinal conditions
Provide pre- and post-procedure care for GI procedures such as colonoscopy and EGD
Manage conditions including IBS, Crohn’s disease, colitis, GERD, and chronic constipation
Support non-surgical weight loss and bariatric services
Educate patients on nutrition and disease management

Procedures and Skills:
Experience supporting GI procedures, including colonoscopy and EGD pre- and post-care
Comfort working in outpatient or ambulatory surgery center settings
Familiarity with high-volume GI workflows preferred

Requirements:
Board Certified Nurse Practitioner, FNP or AGNP
Active North Carolina license
BLS and ACLS required
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience

Preferred Qualifications:
Gastroenterology experience
Ambulatory or office-based practice experience
Exposure to weight loss or bariatric care

Credentialing:
Expedited, approximately one week or less
