Facility:
This regional medical center serves as a tertiary referral facility with 330 beds and maintains Level I Adult and Level II Pediatric Trauma Center designations. The facility features a brand new state-of-the-art 40-bed emergency department and offers a full complement of collaborative specialists and subspecialists including PICU/NICU teams, pediatric subspecialists, neuro-interventional team, and STEMI team.

Physician - Emergency Medicine
Job Details:
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Emergency Medicine required
• Work in beautiful Duluth hub location with annual ED volume of 42,000 patients in new 40-bed emergency department
• Flexible scheduling with opportunities at six regional emergency departments (Aurora, Virginia, Moose Lake, Sandstone, Deer River, and Superior WI)
• Regional sites handle 3.5K-12K patients annually with Level IV trauma designation
• 8 and 9-hour shifts in Duluth with double and triple physician coverage plus APP support
• 12-hour shifts at regional sites, with optional 24-hour shifts available
• Full spectrum emergency medicine including pediatrics and trauma care
• Teaching opportunities available with FM residents and medical students
• Strong collaborative environment with excellent nurse retention and supportive consultants
• Comprehensive behavioral health resources including psychiatry consult service
• Telemedicine support for stroke, psychiatry, NICU, hospice, and cardiology
• Commute times from Duluth range from 10-70 minutes to regional sites
• Must demonstrate excellent teamwork skills and commitment to both urban and rural patient care
Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
