ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Position Type: Locum Tenens / PRN Float Pool
Rate Type: Hourly
Shift Type: Days
Shift Schedule: 11:00 AM – 9:00 PM (10-hour shifts)
Weekend Requirements: None
On-Call Requirements: None
CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES
APP will work autonomously seeing patients independently
Supervising physician is always present in the department for consultation
Coverage supports a 10-hour midlevel shift within the emergency department
Responds to house codes as required
Participates in radio communication with ambulance services
Manages ED patients and coordinates admissions and transfers per protocol
Electronic Health Record (EHR): Cerner
ADMISSIONS & TRANSFERS
ED Admission Rate: 8%
ED Transfer Rate: 2%
Admission Orders Written By: Hospitalist or ED physician
Referral / Transfer Centers:
Regional facility approximately 40 minutes away
Tertiary facility approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes away
Ambulance Response & Transfer Coordination:
Managed through regional medical response services

EKG Interpretation:
Cardiologists
ED physician for in-department EKGs
HOSPITAL & ANCILLARY SERVICES

24/7 Operating Room Availability
Surgical Services Available: Orthopedics
CREDENTIALING
Estimated Credentialing Timeframe: Approximately 90 days
Board Certification: Required (NP or PA)
State License: Michigan license required at time of name clear (IMLC not accepted)
COMPENSATION STRUCTURE
Hourly Rate: Submit your expected rate with presentation
Orientation & Training: Paid at 50% of hourly rate
Overtime: 1.5x hourly rate
Holidays: 1.5x hourly rate
TIMEKEEPING & BILLING
Site utilizes reverse billing
Providers must clock in/out using DocTime
Manual timesheets will not be approved
OCCUPATIONAL HEALTH & IMMUNIZATION REQUIREMENTS
The following documentation is required for clearance:
Hepatitis B (vaccine series or immune titer)
MMR (vaccine series or immune titer)
Varicella (vaccine series or immune titer)
Influenza (current flu season)
COVID-19 documentation
TB screening (within 12 months)
Tdap (within the last 10 years)
REQUIREMENTS
All items must be provided and clearly noted at time of name clear. No exceptions.
Board Certified NP or PA – Required
Provider must be local – No exceptions
Clean background for expedited credentialing – Required
Michigan license active at name clear – Required
DEA – verbal confirmation at name clear
ACLS & PALS – Required
NPDB self-query (pulled within 30 days) – Required
Availability based on open dates – Required
