Emergency Medicine APP Needed – High-Volume Coastal Florida Site

Job description

A high-volume Emergency Department in coastal Florida is seeking experienced Emergency Medicine Nurse Practitioners or Physician Assistants for ongoing locum coverage. This is a backfill opportunity at a fast-paced site affiliated with a national health system.

Assignment Details:

Level 2 trauma center – APPs must have at least 1 year of EM experience, 2+ preferred

HCA experience strongly preferred due to emphasis on performance metrics

60–120 hours/month expected; shifts don’t need to be consecutive

APPs see ~1.7 patients/hour

ED volume: ~55,000/year; 155 patients/day, including ~30 peds/day

Admission rate: 25%

42 hours/day of MD coverage

Must be comfortable with all ages and all ED procedures

Shifts:

6:00 AM – 6:00 PM

9:00 AM – 7:00 PM

12:00 PM – 10:00 PM

6:00 PM – 6:00 AM

All shifts moving to 12 hours as seasonal volume increases.

Requirements:

Active FL license

Emergency Medicine experience (Level 2+ facility preferred)

BLS, ACLS, PALS

DEA & clean file for temp privileges
