About the clinician's workday

The Licensed Professional Counselor will conduct 75-minute individual therapy sessions with assigned patients throughout the day shift, managing a small caseload of typically 1-3 patients with a highly individualized care approach. The clinician will complete intake assessments often involving family and significant others, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide ongoing care using solution-focused therapy and motivational interviewing for adults with substance use disorders, anxiety, and depression. The position requires monitoring patient progress through assessments, surveys, and data-driven treatment adjustments while collaborating with psychiatry available Monday and Friday, nursing, and care management. The clinician will participate in discharge planning and aftercare coordination within the specialized addiction treatment center environment during part-time 32-hour shifts.
