Facility:
This medical center is a Level II Trauma Center that provides comprehensive cardiovascular surgical services to the community. The facility features a well-equipped surgical department with advanced technology including Maquet Hemopro 2 for endovascular procedures and utilizes Cerner Care B with SurgiNet EMR systems.

Opportunity:
Physician Assistant (PA) - Surgery - Cardiovascular

Job Details:
• Provide cardiovascular surgical assistance with substantial experience in endovascular vein harvesting (EVH) required
• Assist with approximately 10-11 heart surgeries per month plus additional thoracic cases
• Conduct daily rounds and write post-operative notes on patients
• Manage typically less than 10 hospitalized patients at a time
• Participate in follow-up clinics on Tuesday and Thursday afternoons seeing up to 6 patients
• Work 10-hour onsite shifts (7a-5p) followed by night call (5p-7a)
• Coverage needed for July 13-16, July 20-26, and December 23-27
• Must be Board Certified with current state license
• ACLS, BLS, and DEA certifications required
• Must be on active staff at TJC accredited facility with unrestricted privileges
• Clean malpractice history required
• Self-Query NPDB report mandatory within 30 days of presentation
• Credentialing timeframe 30-60 days
• Minimal call back averaging 1-2 hours
• Weekend and holiday coverage included in schedule

Compensation:
Competitive hourly rates with weekly pay and malpractice included.
