June–December 2026 | Flexible Shifts | No Guaranteed Call

A large hospital system in Charleston, West Virginia is seeking Board-Certified Anesthesiologists for locum tenens coverage beginning June 1, 2026. This opportunity offers a variety of case types across multiple hospital sites with no guaranteed call and a collaborative anesthesia care team model.


Position Details

Specialty: General / Pediatric / OB Anesthesiology

Start Date: June 1, 2026

Contract Length: June–December 2026

Some limited weeks may be available prior to June

Total Shifts Available: 120 shifts

Practice Setting: Hospital-based


Schedule & Shifts

Start Time: 7:00 AM

Shift Lengths:

Mostly 10-hour shifts

Some 8- and 12-hour shifts possible (12s not guaranteed)

Daily Flow:

Providers are released incrementally as cases complete and OR volume decreases

Call:

No guaranteed call

Providers may be asked to take call occasionally, but call shifts are not guaranteed monthly


Work Environment

Coverage Needs: Approved to add 6 additional Anesthesiologists

Patient Population: Adults

Case Mix: Full spectrum of surgical procedures

Must be comfortable with Pediatrics and OB

Transplants limited to kidney only (no liver, heart, etc.)


Supervision:

Must be willing to supervise CRNAs


EMR: Cerner


Requirements

Board Certification: Required

State License: Active West Virginia license required

DEA & CSR: Required


Experience:

Minimum 2 years

Must have experience with Pediatrics and OB


Credentialing

Estimated Timeframe: 60–90 days
