Aya Locums is seeking a Board-Certified Anesthesiologist for a full-time, scheduled locums assignment in Virginia. This opportunity offers a predictable weekday schedule, a robust and varied case mix, and the ability to practice both independently and within a collaborative medical direction model.

Assignment Details
• Start Date: April 2026
• Coverage Type: Scheduled coverage only – no call
• Shift Schedule: Monday–Friday, daytime shifts
• Shift Hours: 7:00 AM – 5:00 PM
• Weekly Commitment: 50 hours/week
o 40 hours guaranteed
o Flexibility required for up to 50 hours
• Weekend Availability: Preferred
• Credentialing Timeline: 90–120 days

• Specialty: Anesthesiology
• Practice Model: Medical direction with a consistent 1:3 Anesthesiologist-to-CRNA ratio
• CRNA Scope:
o General anesthesia privileges
o Limited regional authority (spinals and epidurals only)
o No peripheral nerve blocks
• Physician Scope:
o Regional anesthesia preferred but not required
• Autonomy Requirement:
o Must be willing to perform cases independently when needed
• Case Mix Includes:
o Open heart procedures
o Organ harvest cases (no transplants)
o Orthopedics
o Thoracic
o OB
o Endocrine
o Trauma
o Healthy pediatric cases (ENT, dental)
• EMR: Epic

• Inpatient hospital-based practice with a broad surgical service line and strong anesthesia team support

Requirements
• License: Active Virginia medical license required at time of submittal
• Certifications: AHA certifications required
• Availability: Must be able to work full-time, Monday–Friday (50 hours/week)
• Flexibility: Weekend availability is a plus
