🦷 Dental Anesthesia Locum Position (Fairbanks, Alaska)
CRNAs serve as primary anesthesia providers in collaboration with surgeons and anesthesiologists at the ASC adjacent to the Hospital.
Responsibilities include:
1. Pre-anesthesia evaluations and ordering medications.
2. Planning anesthetic management and documenting risks.
3. Administering anesthesia for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures.
4. Airway management and placement of regional blocks.
5. Monitoring anesthesia levels and patient responses.
6. Post-anesthesia evaluations and recovery management.
7. Ensuring compliance with IHS and AAAHC standards.
✅ Minimum Qualifications
• NBCRNA-BC
• Active Alaska RN and CRNA licensure (or eligibility).
• New graduates considered
📊 Case Volumes (Typical)
• Dental: 2–3 cases/day
• GI (scopes): ~10 cases/day (usually completed by 2 PM)
• Orthopedics: Variable (2–10 cases/day depending on week)
• General Surgery: ~6 cases/day (currently expanding)
• Occasional: GYN add-ons
• Future plans: ENT and ophthalmology cases (high volume, short duration)
