Job Description

A. Role Overview:

We are seeking a Consultant Addiction Medicine Physician (non-psychiatrist) to join the senior medical faculty of a newly developed, high-end addiction and mental health hospital. The physician will lead medical detoxification, withdrawal management, and medical standards across inpatient services.

B. Key Responsibilities:

Lead inpatient detoxification and withdrawal management protocols
​​​​​​​Manage acute medical risks (DTs, seizures, overdose recovery, hepatic complications, etc
Prescribe and oversee MAT (methadone, buprenorphine, naltrexone, Suboxone)
​​​​​​​Act as primary attending physician during inpatient stay
Work collaboratively alongside psychiatrists
Contribute to protocol development and clinical governance
Mentor and train junior physicians
Support the development of a world-class addiction medicine model

C. Mandatory Requirements (Non-Negotiable):
MD / MBBS / DO (fully licensed physician)
Formal training or board certification in Addiction Medicine
Clear inpatient detox and hospital-based experience
Background in Internal Medicine / Family Medicine / Emergency Medicine
Experience in structured addiction hospitals or recognised institutions
Fluent English


Main Focus

This role is focused on leading inpatient medical detoxification and withdrawal management within a premium addiction hospital setting. The physician will operate as a senior medical faculty member, shaping detox protocols, overseeing medical safety standards, and working collaboratively alongside psychiatry to deliver integrated, high-governance addiction care.
