Schedule

4 days per week
Inpatient orthopedic surgery coverage

Assignment Details

Manage pre- and post-operative orthopedic surgery patients on acute care units
Adult and geriatric patient population, with occasional older adolescent orthopedic cases
Approximately 15–35 orthopedic patients across two acute care units, typically split between two APPs
Primary case mix includes orthopedic surgery patients
EMR: Epic

Procedures

Dressing changes
Wound VAC changes
Drain removal

Preferred Experience

Total hip replacement
Total knee replacement
Orthopedic trauma
Spine surgery

Requirements

NCCPA Board Certified (PA-C)
Active California license required
California DEA with appropriate controlled substance privileges required
AHA BLS required
Minimum 2 years of inpatient orthopedic surgery experience
