Occupational Medicine / Urgent Care APP – Locums (State of CA)

Job description

Start Date: 12/15/25

Duration: 3 months (through 3/27/26)

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8a–5p (or until last patient is seen)

Coverage: 5 days per week

Float Requirement: Must be willing to rotate between four centers within the state

EMR: Allscripts

Patient Population: All ages

Clinical Scope

Diagnose and treat work-related injuries

Perform pre-placement, DOT, public safety, and surveillance physical exams

Manage walk-in urgent care cases

Conduct in-office procedures; suturing required

Communicate with employers and provide medical guidance

May supervise or collaborate with onsite APPs

Complete documentation timely

Mix of scheduled and walk-in patients

Required Skills & Qualifications

Active CA license

DOT certification required at time of submission

Board certified or eligible in Primary Care or related field

Comfortable working independently and handling procedures
