Medical Director / Physician Consultant (Quarterly QM Oversight)

Job description

Care Crew, LLC is a nurse-led home health agency serving AHCCCS/DDD and private patients with skilled intermittent nursing services. We are seeking a licensed Arizona physician to act as our consulting Medical Director for regulatory compliance and quality management activities required by the Arizona Department of Health Services.



This is a low-burden, flexible role ideal for a physician seeking supplemental consulting work with predictable, minimal hours.



Responsibilities

Participate in Quarterly Quality Management (QM) Meetings with the RN Director and Administrator
Review agency quality indicators, incident summaries, and performance improvement actions
Provide medical guidance on patient care policies, clinical standards, and best practices
Support the RN Director in maintaining compliance with ADHS home health regulations
Sign off on required oversight documents as needed
Remain available for consultation regarding clinical questions within the scope of home health
Offer professional input into care protocols or updates to agency policies annually
Estimated Commitment

1-1.5 hours per quarter for QM meetings and document review
Occasional availability for brief consultation
Total estimated time: 4–6 hours per year
Requirements

Active Arizona MD or DO license in good standing
Experience in home health, primary care, internal medicine, geriatrics, or related specialties preferred
Familiarity with quality management, patient safety, or regulatory review helpful
Strong communication skills and collaborative approach with nursing leadership
Comfortable with a remote meeting format
Compensation

Competitive stipend based on experience
Paid quarterly or monthly
Contract terms negotiable
