Anesthesiology Locum Tenens – Virginia Beach, VA

A busy coastal Virginia hospital is seeking Anesthesiology locum coverage from January 1 through June 30, 2026. The hospital is an accredited Primary Stroke Center and Magnet-recognized for nursing excellence, with specialties including heart and vascular care, neuroscience, orthopedics, and spine services.

Schedule:

8-, 10-, and 12-hour shifts based on team needs

Weeknight and weekend pager call required (1:7 rotation)

Case Mix and Skills Needed:
Providers will encounter a broad and varied practice, including:

General anesthesia for adult patients; pediatric cases preferred but not required

Regional anesthesia, spinals, and epidurals

OB anesthesia coverage

Complex orthopedic and non-cardiac vascular procedures

Neurosurgical cases focused on the spine

Cath Lab and EP Lab coverage

Providers should be comfortable with ventilation management and placement of central or arterial lines. This assignment does not require open-heart or thoracic anesthesia, pain management procedures, or PA catheter insertion.
