Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Internal Medicine or Family Medicine Physician to provide locum tenens primary care in a community-focused outpatient clinic.
You will deliver comprehensive adult care, manage chronic and acute medical conditions, conduct wellness visits, prescribe medications, coordinate specialty care, and maintain accurate documentation. This role offers a stable schedule with no inpatient responsibilities.
Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive adult physical exams and medical evaluations
Diagnose and manage acute and chronic medical diseases
Order and interpret labs, imaging, and diagnostic studies
Prescribe medications and develop evidence-based treatment plans
Perform diabetic and chronic care follow-ups
Provide clinic-level urgent care response when needed
Collaborate with specialists, nursing staff, and support teams
Complete documentation in the EMR timely and accurately
Participate in quality improvement and clinic initiatives
Qualifications
MD or DO
Board Certified or Board Eligible in IM or FM
Active medical license (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration
BLS certification
Minimum of 5 years clinical experience preferred
