Contract Length: Long-term (one week per month for duration of assignment)

Position Overview

A Level 1 trauma center is seeking an Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology Physician to join an established team of three staff physicians. This is a high-acuity, critical-care–focused role with responsibility for ECMO, Impella (VV and VA), and durable LVAD management.

Providers will serve as the primary attending for mechanical circulatory support patients and participate in the facility’s cardiogenic shock program. No transplant responsibilities.

Schedule

One week every four weeks

Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM

Daytime: Inpatient 7:00 AM–7:00 PM

Nighttime: Call coverage 7:00 PM–7:00 AM

Clinical Details

Setting: Inpatient, Level 1 trauma center

Patients per shift: 10–12

Support staff: Team of three advanced heart failure physicians

EMR: Epic

Key Responsibilities:

Full management of ECMO, VV/VA Impella, durable LVADs

Participation in shock program

High-acuity critical care cardiology

Primary attending responsibilities for mechanical support patients

Requirements

Board Certification required

Advanced Heart Failure or Critical Care Cardiology background strongly preferred

Active license from any state; willing to license in WA

Certifications: BLS, ACLS

Fellowship training preferred

Credentialing

Timeline: ~90 days
