Family Practice – Outpatient | Washington State
Job description
Contract Length: 3 months, with potential to extend
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00a–5:00p (40 hours/week; 1-hour unpaid lunch)
Setting: Outpatient, Community Health Center
Position Details
Patient Volume: Up to 18 patients per day (may vary with cancellations)
Patient Population: Newborns through geriatrics; must be comfortable seeing all ages
Support Staff: Dedicated MA per provider, receptionist, mental health therapists, dietitians, and most sites have a pediatrician and local healthcare administrator
Environment: Community Health Center serving diverse and vulnerable populations, including migrants and refugees. Interpreter services available onsite.
Practice Scope: Family medicine, chronic disease management, walk-in/acute care, preventive services, and same-day visits
Procedures: Basic primary care procedures — injections, IUD placement, minor wound care
EMR: EPIC
Requirements
Board Certification: Required (Family Practice)
License: Active Washington State license required – no exceptions
DEA: Active WA DEA required
Certifications: BLS/ACLS (as required; provider responsible for obtaining if needed)
Experience:
Minimum 2 years as a Family Nurse Practitioner (FNP)
Must have recent (within past year) face-to-face experience with both adult and pediatric patients
Clean background required — no malpractice or disciplinary issues considered
Additional Details
Vaccinations: COVID-19 and flu vaccination required
Orientation: 1-week onsite orientation; expected to begin patient care by Day 3
