Dr. Jeffrey English
Chief of Neurology
Dr. Jeffrey English serves as Chief of Neurology for Virtual Medical Staff. A board certified physician in Atlanta, Ga., Dr. English is a member of the American Academy of Neurology. His professional activities include working with the Maryland Brain Attack Center to train and prepare acute stroke teams at the University of Maryland. Dr. English earned his medical degree from Dartmouth Medical School in Hanover, N.H. and completed his residency in Neurology at University of Maryland Medical Center in Baltimore.
Dr. Tom Tuzel
Chief of Psychiatry
Dr. Tom Tuzel serves as Chief of Psychiatry for Virtual Medical Staff. A psychiatrist in New York City, Dr. Tuzel treats patients in virtual and face-to-face settings. He is a diplomat of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and member of the American Psychiatric Association. Dr. Tuzel graduated from Ross University School of Medicine and completed his post-doctoral training at Mount Sinai Medical Center, NYU Medical Center and Cabrini Medical Center. His work has included appointments at the Manhattan Psychiatric Center, Good Samaritan Hospital and Kirby Forensic Psychiatric Center.
Jack Williams serves as President of Virtual Medical Staff. He provides senior leadership for the company, including strategic and operational efforts that support the company's market-leading telemedicine services. Prior to becoming President of Virtual Medical Staff, Williams served for four years as President of Jackson Healthcare's health IT services business that supports health systems across the country. He holds more than 18 years of experience helping start up and lead emerging businesses, having also served as President and COO for companies with solutions for healthcare, technology, and real estate. Williams currently serves on the Executive Advisory Council for IHIT (the Institute for Healthcare Information Technology) and is a past Advisory Board member for the Technology Association of Georgia (TAG) Health Society. He is passionate about working with children, both as a coach of children's baseball and basketball and by teaching children's Sunday School with his wife. He lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and three children.
Vice President of Operations
Zach Richardson serves as Vice President of Operations for Virtual Medical Staff. He has over 10 years of staffing, operations and telemedicine technology experience, across multiple healthcare specialties including Radiology, Psychiatry and Neurology, and is responsible for helping healthcare facilities nationwide get the coverage needed to consistently deliver quality care.
Vice President of Clinical Operations
Jackie Newman joined Virtual Medical Staff in 2016 as Vice President of Clinical Operations. In her role, Ms. Newman is responsible for working collaboratively with hospital administrators, physicians, physician leaders, and other stakeholders to develop, manage, and optimize physician and facility processes in order to support Virtual Medical Staff’s mission of using innovation to increase patient access to quality healthcare.
Bringing more than 19 years of healthcare management experience, with expertise in both clinical and operational facets, Ms. Newman began her clinical career as a registered nurse in the Emergency Department setting. As a Vice President at ApolloMD, and in leadership roles at Cogent Healthcare and Catholic Health Initiatives, Ms. Newman grew to become an industry expert in physician relations, process improvement and operational efficiency.
Chief Technology Officer
Les Standerfer is Chief Technology Officer for Virtual Medical Staff. With over 16 years experience providing technology services and solutions to the healthcare industry, Standerfer’s focus is helping facilities establish telemedicine services, healthcare regulatory compliance, information security, and auditing. Prior to joining Virtual Medical Staff, he served as Chief Architect of Telemedicine for LocumTenens.com.
Director of Business Development
Tommy Binner serves as Director or Business Development for Virtual Medical Staff. Binner has over 10 years of staffing, business development and healthcare technology experience, across multiple healthcare specialties including Cardiology, Radiology, Oncology, Neurology and Psychiatry. Binner holds a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Georgia. He has also completed coursework for his MBA and MHA from the Georgia State University, Franklin College of Business.
Director of Business Development
Nathan Pulley serves as Director of Business Development for Virtual Medical Staff. He has over 8 years of experience in physician services, business development, and healthcare technology experience across multiple specialties. He holds experience working in specialty areas including Anesthesia, Neurology, and Psychiatry, as well as creative clinical solutions using Nurse Practitioners. He has a passion for Telehealth and finding solutions to customers' needs.
Director of Client Services
Scott Haynes is the Director of Client Services for Virtual Medical Staff. He has more than 25 years of engineering, applied research, and process improvement experience in private industry and university settings. With a Masters in Biomedical Engineering and Lean and Six Sigma certification, Haynes has published over 30 peer-reviewed articles relating to improving access for individuals with disabilities. His focus is needs assessment, data analysis, workflow development, and communication, enabling Virtual Medical Staff to provide efficient and effective telemedicine services to customers.
